- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various specialties, including obstetrics, gynecology, and general imaging, ensuring clear and precise images for accurate diagnosis
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort throughout the imaging session
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and prevent contamination
- Operate ultrasound equipment with precision, adjusting settings to optimize image quality based on patient anatomy and clinical indications
- Document imaging procedures accurately in medical records, including technical details and observations for physician review
- Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members regarding findings or concerns observed during imaging
- Stay current with advancements in sonography technology and techniques through ongoing education and training
- Proven experience or training in sonography, with knowledge of medical imaging principles and anatomy relevant to ultrasound procedures
- Strong understanding of maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), physiology, and general medical terminology
- Familiarity with diagnostic radiology practices and the ability to interpret basic imaging results
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology essential for accurate image acquisition and interpretation
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique standards during all procedures to ensure patient safety and infection control compliance
- Prior experience or familiarity with patient care practices in a clinical setting is highly desirable
