HR Generalist / Recruiter – Paratransit

Transdev in North Las Vegas, Nevada is hiring a Human Resources Generalist for our Paratransit location. The Human Resources Generalist supports the management team with full-cycle recruiting and other HR-related responsibilities. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $66,000 – maximum $70,000
  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
  • Sick days: 5 days
  • Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

Key Responsibilities
  • Full-cycle recruiting for drivers and staff: review applications, schedule and conduct interviews, and manage hiring through Jobvite.
  • Prepare and maintain employee files, including new hire EEO/AAP and onboarding documentation.
  • Manage payroll, leaves of absence, and FMLA tracking for assigned employees.
  • Educate employees on benefits and HR policies.
  • Ensure compliance with background checks, drug/alcohol screens, and E‑Verify.
  • Support internal and external employee transfers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Knowledge of HR strategies and practices, including recruitment, compliance, employee relations, performance management, and compensation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to draft professional correspondence and present information effectively to employees, managers, and leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems (ADP preferred) and Applicant Tracking Systems (Jobvite preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Flexible and customer‑service oriented, committed to supporting employees and passengers in a professional manner.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable (per 49 CFR Part 40; Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, are prohibited).
Physical Requirements
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
