Technician Apprentice Opportunity Summary
A Technician Apprentice will enhance mechanical skills while acquiring new ones to proficiently conduct cleanings, maintenance tasks, visual inspections, and the disassembly of parts and attachments. This position will work under the direct supervision of a qualified Service Technician to ensure all work scheduled is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction.
Job Duties- Perform quality minor repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/ Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
- Assist in accurately completing all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) promptly.
- Assist with diagnosing failure of vehicles by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
- Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards.
- Inspect protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks.
- Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Currently enrolled in a Diesel Technology Program.
- Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
