Flexo Press Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flexo Press Operator to join our team. As a Flexo Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. You will ensure that the equipment is functioning properly, monitor the printing process, and make adjustments as necessary to maintain print quality and productivity.

Schedule: 3:00 - 11:30pm M-F with overtime as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Flexographic Press Operator or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of flexographic printing techniques and equipment
• Proficient in reading and interpreting job orders, blueprints, and work instructions
• Familiarity with different types of inks, substrates, and adhesives used in flexographic printing
• Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and perform regular maintenance on flexographic printing equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain print quality throughout production runs
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make adjustments to optimize print performance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
• Good communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

• Set up and prepare flexographic printing presses for production runs
• Load and position printing plates and cylinders onto the press, ensuring proper alignment
• Mix inks according to specifications and fill ink fountains or reservoirs
• Adjust press settings, such as speed, tension, and registration, to ensure proper print quality
• Monitor press operation and make adjustments as necessary to maintain print quality and productivity
• Identify and troubleshoot printing issues, such as color mismatches, streaking, or registration errors
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the press and related equipment
• Monitor and control ink and substrate waste to minimize production costs
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with other team members, such as prepress operators and quality control technicians, to ensure efficient and accurate production
• Document production and quality data accurately and complete necessary paperwork
