Fabrication Shop Supervisor (Clark County Certified Fabrication Shop)

We are seeking a diligent, experienced Shop Supervisor to join our team at a leading fencing contractor. The Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shop, ensuring that all fencing materials and equipment are prepared and maintained to meet the demands of our installation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, team leadership, and a working knowledge of fencing materials and fabrication processes.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop personnel engaged in fabricating, assembling,maintenance, and repair of fencing materials and equipment.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to company standards and project specifications.
• Manage inventory, including future needs of ordering materials, maintaining stock levels, and overseeing storage.
• Oversee best practices for eliminating waste materials.
• Coordinate with the Sales and Operations to schedule and prioritize equipment and material preparation for upcoming jobs.
• Ensure the shop adheres to all safety regulations and protocols, conducting regular safety meetings anddrills.
• Develop and implement shop maintenance schedules for tools and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
• Train new staff and provide ongoing training and support to all shop personnel.
• Handle administrative duties such as timekeeping, reporting, and coordination with other departments.
• Troubleshoot issues with fabrication or equipment and provide technical guidance.
• Innovate and implement continuous improvement strategies for shop operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
• Welding certified.
• Knowledge of operations and maintenance of all shop machinery.
• Hazmat and OSHA certified.
• Valid Drivers License (CDL License Preferred)
• Proven experience as a Shop Supervisor, preferably within the construction or fencing industry.
• Strong understanding of fencing products, materials, and machinery.
• Ability to interpret drawings and plans, strongly skilled in measurements and take-offs.
• CAD Design or knowledge of CAD Software a plus.
• Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach to team management.
• Competency in inventory software, databases, and systems.
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
