The technician will work for Hydra‑Gear, a division of Purvis Industries specializing in fluid power remanufacturing, including cylinders, gearboxes, pumps, and motors. The role involves the following duties:
Job Duties- Forklift operation
- Rigging
- Assembly/Disassembly of fluid power units
- Seal/Component Identification
- Failure analysis
- Testing
- Utilization of hand, air, and power tools
- Utilization of compressed gas and cutting torches
- Utilization of abrasives, adhesives, lubricants, and solvents
- Prior use of hand tools preferred
- Steel Toe boots and safety glasses required
- Prior experience working in an open bay shop
- Employee must be able to handle the physical demands of the position, including exposure to excessive heat
