The technician will have various responsibilities and work for Hydra-Gear, a division of Purvis Industries that specializes in fluid power remanufacturing, including cylinders, gearboxes, pumps, and motors.

• Forklift operation
• Rigging
• Assembly/Disassembly of fluid power units
• Seal/Component Identification
• Failure analysis
• Testing
• Utilization of hand, air, and power tools
• Utilization of compressed gas and cutting torches
• Utilization of abrasives, adhesives, lubricants, and solvents

• Prior use of hand tools preferred
• Steel Toe boots and safety glasses
• Prior experience working in an open bay shop
• Employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of the position, including exposure to excessive heat.
