We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production equipment and plant facilities, ensuring continuous uptime through troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.

Essential Functions
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment.
  • Repair equipment, fixtures, conveyor systems, and other plant equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with Niagara’s defined processes.
  • Maintain industrial control systems.
  • Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs in a safe and timely manner.
  • May fill in for production operator as needed.
  • Create and report repairs throughout the shift, completing required work‑order paperwork and documenting parts and material usage.
  • Understand and follow plant safety rules, including safe lifting and machine operation procedures, and use personal protective equipment when required.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance to ensure equipment and facility uptime.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4 years of experience in a field or similar maintenance environment.
  • 4 years of experience in a maintenance technician position.
  • 4 years of experience managing people or projects (work experience plus education may be combined).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Skill in the use of shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill, lathe, and assorted power tools.
  • Proficient with precision measuring equipment such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges.
  • Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of the plant.
  • Will bring own toolbox and basic tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • 6 years of experience in a maintenance technician position.
  • 6 years of experience managing people or projects.
  • Experience in high‑speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries.
  • Experience with variable frequency drive (VFD), servo drives, and servo motor technology.
  • Experience with rotary equipment such as rotary press or filler.
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing.
  • Experience with Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment.
  • Experience with HVAC, chillers, and/or air compressors.
  • Experience working with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Fabrication skills such as cutting, welding (MIG, TIG, or stick).
  • Experience with 480

    VAC & 24

    VDC power systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret process and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Skill in repairing VFDs, servo motors, controllers, communication systems (ASi‑Bus, CAN‑Bus, Profi‑Bus, Ethernet), PLC I/O cards, and safety modules.
