Job Description
Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Our MISSION is to help ensure the security of the United States and its allies by providing high-hazard experimentation and incident response capabilities through operations, engineering, education, field, and integration services and by acting as environmental stewards to the Site’s Cold War legacy.

- Assist in directing and coordinating the Company’s Quality Assurance Program and perform technical work to ensure effective quality services are provided.
- Plan and implement high quality technical standards and practices and perform internal assessments to ensure compliance with quality codes and standards.
- Contribute in preparing long range plans and implement quality programs in response to new missions.
- Promote quality through training and communication with other Company organizational units.
- Participate in early stages of planning quality activities; prepare program proposals and ensure they are met.
- Perform or supervise vendor and subcontractor evaluations as required.
- Review material and equipment requisitions for adherence to quality standards and codes as required.
- Consult with line organization supervisors and departmental representatives on quality matters to ensure that procedures and work practices comply with the MSTS Quality Assurance Program (QAP), other management systems, and governmental requirements.
- Recommend actions related to non-compliance and follows through to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain awareness of current additions or revisions to quality standards and procedures and applies them to work responsibilities as required.
- Provide training, mentoring, and technical guidance to less experienced QA personnel.
- Conduct QA related assessment and provide training, briefings, and orientation in areas of expertise.
- Execute work in a disciplined manner to demonstrate compliance with laws, codes, orders, and MSTS policies and procedures.
- May serve as lead on teams with well-defined scope of work.
- Develop solutions for a range of complex problems and issues.
- Perform duties relating to independent verification and receiving inspection of procured Quality materials for line organizations.
- Generate non-conformance reports.
- Provide receipt inspection support.
- Provide receipt inspection reports for MSTS POs used in all phases of Project work activities.
- Attend work package walkdowns or tabletop reviews for planned Project work activities.
- Perform QA oversight on Project work activities.
- Conduct walkdowns for ongoing Project work activities.
- Attend Plan of the Day or meetings to support Project work activities.
- Provide timely support and feedback as requested supporting Project work activities.
- Perform work package closeout reviews for completed Project work activities.
- Prepare CaWeb or NCRs for conditions identified and follow-up until closure as required.
- Perform surveillances of Project work activities as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Technical field related to the position or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
