Baker, Restaurant​/Food Service

Job Summary

Responsible for making a wide range of breads, pastries, and other baked goods, maintaining the high quality that the company is known for, while remaining in compliance with all Clark County Health Department and OSHA rules and company policies and procedures as they pertain to the position.

• Prepare and bake all bakery items following standardized recipes
• Decorate and finish all cakes, pastries, and baked goods house specifications
• Rotate products as needed
• Report malfunctioning equipment to Executive Pastry Chef
• Operate, clean and perform minor maintenance on baking machines and equipment
• Keep records of products made and used
• Assist in developing test recipes
• All other duties that may be assigned

• Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work in close quarters or small rooms and occasionally be exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid condition

• Previous experience required; at least two years
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, environment and work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must have working knowledge of weights, measurements and basic bakery equipment
• Ability to read, translate and execute recipes
• Must be able to work with speed and efficiency
• Must be able to speak, understand, and read English
• Must maintain valid Clark County Health Card
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to walk, bend, reach, and twist
• Must possess the physical ability to access all areas of the bakery
