Luxury Fine Wine & Spirits Sales Consultant – Oxford Street Merchants

Oxford Street Merchants, the Fine Wine & Spirits Division of Johnson Brothers, specializes in representing some of the world’s most prestigious wine and spirits portfolios. Position Summary

Seeking a highly motivated, relationship‑driven Sales Consultant to manage and grow an established territory within the Las Vegas market. The role focuses on concierge‑level, consultative selling to luxury on‑premise accounts such as fine dining establishments, luxury hotels, premium cocktail destinations, and high‑end hospitality venues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales & Account Management: Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of luxury on‑premise accounts. Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive sales growth, distribution gains, menu placements, and feature activity. Build trusted relationships with beverage decision‑makers, including sommeliers, beverage directors, general managers, and bar leadership. Deliver a consultative sales experience by providing product expertise, market insights, and tailored beverage solutions.
  • Brand Development & Supplier Partnership: Coordinate and execute supplier‑driven programs, promotions, events, and market initiatives. Collaborate with supplier partners to achieve distribution, activation, and brand‑building objectives. Utilize point‑of‑sale and promotional tools to enhance menu placements, feature opportunities, and account engagement.
  • Education & Training: Conduct wine and spirits education programs, tastings, and staff trainings for customers and internal sales teams. Serve as a subject matter expert on luxury wines, spirits, industry trends, and category developments.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators including distribution growth, menu placements, cocktail and wine features, promotion execution, brand visibility, and staff advocacy. Maintain detailed account records and sales activity reporting. Identify challenges and implement solutions that support business objectives and supplier goals.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Maintain a strong understanding of competitive activity, market trends, and emerging luxury beverage opportunities. Participate in supplier visits, industry events, trade tastings, and customer engagement activities. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional execution and customer satisfaction. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Previous sales experience in wine, spirits, hospitality, luxury goods, or related industries preferred
  • Experience working with luxury hospitality, fine dining, or premium beverage programs highly desirable
  • Demonstrated success in consultative or relationship‑based selling environments
Certifications
  • Preferred:
    Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS)
  • Preferred:
    Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET)
  • Preferred:
    Society of Wine Educators (SWE)
  • Preferred:
    Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW)
  • Preferred:
    Certified Specialist of Spirits (CSS)
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with CRM and sales reporting platforms preferred
  • Familiarity with Branches, Easy Bev, and Quota Tracker is a plus
  • Strong analytical and basic mathematical skills
