Reviews voter signatures for accuracy and authenticity using County procedures.
Signature Examiners support mail ballot verification, voter confidence, and timely processing by applying careful visual review and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review signatures on ballot materials, voter records, affidavits, or related documents according to County training and verification procedures.
- Compare signatures carefully and consistently, applying only the criteria and decision rules provided by the County.
- Identify mismatches, missing signatures, incomplete records, image quality issues, or other exceptions and escalate when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of voter records and ensure records are not discussed or accessed outside assigned duties.
- Support quality control, batch review, scanning, indexing, or related signature-processing tasks as assigned.
- Maintain nonpartisan conduct and focus during repetitive, high-volume review work.
High attention to detail, strong visual comparison ability, and sustained concentration.
- Computer proficiency and ability to use designated verification or voter record systems accurately.
- Ability to follow standardized procedures and accept quality-control feedback.
- Team-oriented approach, patience, confidentiality, and consistent judgment.
- Nonpartisan conduct and respect for voter privacy.
- Valid Nevada Driver's License.
- Registered Clark County voter and willing to disclose political affiliation if required for the assignment.
- Must complete required signature verification, confidentiality, and system training before assignment.
- Primarily computer-based or document-review work with prolonged sitting, screen use, and repetitive visual comparisons.
- Must be available to work through the election cycle with limited requested days off.
- Must be available for schedule needs that may include 8-10 hour shifts, weekends, flexible start and end times, overtime, and extended hours on specific event days, especially Election Day.
- Must remain reliable, punctual, and responsive to assignment changes during a fast-paced, deadline-driven election environment.
- Must follow County security rules, workplace policies, chain-of-custody expectations, confidentiality requirements, dress code, and professional conduct standards.
- Completes assigned work accurately, on time, and in accordance with training and County procedures.
- Escalates exceptions, voter issues, equipment concerns, safety concerns, and unclear instructions promptly to the designated supervisor or lead.
- Accurately documents work performed, materials handled, calls received, records updated, and/or batch activity as applicable to the assignment.
