Position Description
Position Summary:
The Lube Technician position is responsible for performing Preventative Maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing PM services on small tool, light, medium and heavy-duty trucks, as well as heavy equipment in the shop and/or in the field.
- Responsible for inspecting, and reporting any malfunctions in vehicles and/or equipment to Shop Supervisor
- Responsible for properly documenting malfunctions in the company's fleet software.
- Communicate parts needed with Parts Administrators
- Accurately document parts and labor used on repair orders using fleet software.
- Perform minor repairs if necessary.
- Conform to Hirschi safety standards
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Shop Supervisor
Experience, Educational, and Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-years' experience as a mechanic in a similar industry preferred.
- Must have necessary mechanic tools to perform job duties
- Must have knowledge of basic vehicle preventive maintenance techniques
- Must have the ability to interpret manuals
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when necessary
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions or in shop
- OSHA
10 card required - Must pass the company's Driver Approval Process
- Must have the ability to lift 75lbs.
- Pass mandatory employment drug test required.
- Must be able to read and write in English and/or Spanish at a level sufficient to follow safety instructions, complete required documentation accurately, and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
