PURPOSE
Facility general maintenance technicians are responsible for maintaining the building components of the health centers. Technicians manually operate equipment, hand tools, do repairs & general maintenance, conduct routine inspections and follow up, as well as conduct safety checks. Technicians are responsible to ensure that all building systems are operating not just correctly, but also efficiently and safely.
Essential Job Functions and Duties- Perform routine inspection and general maintenance and repair tasks as assigned
- Perform preventative maintenance based on best practices and manufacturer recommendations
- Perform routine safety inspection(s) as directed
- Act as liaison with vendors, public utility, environmental and energy agencies
- Coordinate work with contracted entities to include scheduling and securing areas of work
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions
- Source supplies and material needed for work done in-house
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
- Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
- Perform audits in support of facility planning
- Understand and adhere to OSHA safety standards
- Occasional travel to vendors for supplies may be required
- Travel to all facility locations as required
- Ability to work off hours or on shifts that can include holidays, nights, or weekends as well as have flexibility with scheduling for special projects and as needed
- Drive on Fund Business and/or authorized to drive a Fund-owned or leased vehicle

- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibilities and requirements of the job
- 2–4 years of related experience minimum for Tech I
- 5–7 years of related experience minimum for Tech II
- Experience in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, basic electrical, machine repair, painting, flooring and general HVAC required
- Must have practical knowledge in the areas of: general building maintenance techniques, mechanical systems such as cooling tower, heat pumps/HVAC, mini‑split air conditioning systems, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry and painting techniques
- Assist with credit application processing for new accounts and submitting check requests as needed
- Working knowledge and experience in maintenance environment required
- Knowledge of and comfortable utilizing power tools and diagnostic tools

High School Diploma or Equivalent - Preferred:
Trade School - Preferred: CFC certification
- Required:
OSHA
10; if no OSHA 10, ability to obtain within 6 months of hire - Preferred: OSHA

- 10–15% travel, primarily within the Las Vegas area
- Beginner level Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Must work independently with minimal supervision and be able to respond to emergency call on off‑duty hours
- Flexible with scheduling for special projects and when additional coverage is needed
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in cramped quarters and awkward positions; ability to lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 100 lbs.; and the ability to climb and balance on ladders
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
Hourly range for this position: $18.87~$24.97. Actual hourly rate may vary based upon, but not limited to: relevant experience, qualifications, expertise, certifications, licenses, education or equivalent work experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
Work Schedule (may vary to meet business needs): M-F, Shift to be determined (37.5 hours per week): 7am-3pm or 2p-10pm
