Job Title
Trailer Repair Technician
DescriptionDiagnose and repair trailers. Perform repairs and maintenance on wheel ends, brake systems, and air suspension systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and diagnostic issues. Perform preventative maintenance, and routine inspections. Repair and replace tires as needed. Conduct DOT inspections and identify needed repairs to ensure compliance. Complete work orders and service documentation accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety procedures and service standards. Communicate repair needs and job status with management and team members.
Previous experience in trailer repair preferred. Strong knowledge of trailer systems. Experience with brakes, wheel ends, suspension, electrical, and diagnostics. Ability to perform preventative maintenance and inspections. Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Valid driver's license preferred. CDL is a plus, if applicable.
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift heavy parts and tools with or without assistance. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a shop environment for extended periods. Ability to work in varying temperatures and around heavy equipment. Ability to safely use tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, and shop machinery.
