Software Lead and Integration ManagerAs a software integrator, you will lead a U.S. Space Force team of physicists, systems engineers, and software developers as they design and build user-focused software solutions to support U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy end users. The role involves evaluating physics-based concepts, designing and testing software, implementing end-to-end solutions, and bridging scientific needs with scalable, mission-driven software. You will handle hands‑on coding across the stack while providing strategic direction, mentorship, and clear communication to stakeholders, ensuring alignment of scientific objectives with software development efforts.
ResponsibilitiesLead a cross‑functional team responsible for evaluating physics‑based concepts, designing and testing software, and implementing end‑to‑end solutions. Leverage experience with radio frequency (RF) and space weather concepts to translate scientific needs into scalable, mission‑driven software solutions. Provide hands‑on code development and review while mentoring engineering and science personnel. Collaborate across disciplines, communicate technical concepts clearly, and drive alignment between scientific objectives and software development efforts.
Demonstrate proactive initiative, anticipate needs, and contribute innovative ideas to drive team success.
- Experience with scientific concepts related to radio frequency (RF), the electromagnetic spectrum, or space weather.
- Experience with full stack development.
- Experience interacting with technical and non‑technical audiences at varying levels.
- Experience leading highly technical teams.
- Ability to read and program in Python, JavaScript, or C/C++, and in frameworks such as React, Angular, REST, or GraphQL.
- Ability to coordinate and drive outcomes across various cross‑functional teams such as science, software, hardware, and systems engineering.
- Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field such as Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Experience with radar systems or radar modeling and signal processing.
- Experience working with Kubernetes or software factories.
- Experience with requirements analysis.
- Ability to run and evaluate complex simulation frameworks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Master's degree in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering preferred;
Doctorate degree in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering a plus. - Ability to obtain Security+ certification within two months of hire date.
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Top Secret clearance is required.
CompensationSalary range: $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). Additional benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, and work‑life programs.
