Position Summary

The Inventory Agent / Truss & Rigging Specialist is responsible for accurate tracking, organization, preparation, maintenance, and movement of company assets across all departments. This role serves as the primary coordinator for asset management activities while providing specialized support for truss, rigging, and related production equipment. Responsibilities include inventory control, equipment readiness, asset identification and tracking, warehouse operations support, and compliance with company safety standards.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, physically capable, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Asset & Inventory Management

  • Track, scan, and maintain accurate inventory records of company assets across all departments using RTPro and other inventory management systems.
  • Ensure all company assets are properly labeled, tagged, barcoded, engraved, or stickered and stored in designated locations.
  • Scan and log incoming and outgoing equipment accurately across multiple departments and inventory categories.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts by identifying, locating, and verifying assets throughout the organization.
  • Enter and maintain basic inventory data and documentation within inventory systems and spreadsheets.
  • Identify and report inventory shortages, discrepancies, missing items, or damaged equipment to the Inventory Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.

Equipment Preparation & Warehouse Operations

  • Pull, stage, prepare, and process equipment and assets for all departments according to job specifications and operational deadlines.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling, securement, and transportation of equipment.
  • Process equipment returns by cleaning, sorting, inspecting, and restocking items for future use.
  • Stage and organize equipment for repair, maintenance, processing, or shipping.
  • Tag damaged, defective, or unsafe equipment and remove it from circulation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, asset coordination, or rigging environment.
  • Familiarity with truss systems, rigging hardware, and staging equipment is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computers, inventory management software, barcode scanning equipment, and spreadsheet applications to accurately track, manage, and maintain asset records
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, technical documentation, and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50-75 pounds independently and heavier loads with team assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to load, unload, move, and organize equipment in a warehouse environment.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are required to safely handle, inspect, label, scan, organize, and move truss, rigging hardware, and related production equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and identify cable markings, connectors, and equipment labels.
  • Ability to operate computers, barcode scanners, tablets, and other electronic devices for inventory tracking and documentation.
  • Ability to visually inspect equipment, labels, barcodes, and rigging components for damage, wear, and proper identification.
  • Ability to safely handle, assemble, disassemble, and move truss, rigging hardware, chain motors, hoists, and related production equipment.
  • Stamina to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods in a fast-paced environment while meeting operational deadlines.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment and work around moving machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toe footwear.
