Position Summary
The Mortgage Loan Closer II is responsible for completing residential mortgage loan closings, coordinating seamless, compliant loan closings from post-approval through funding and delivery. This role acts as a primary liaison between borrowers, loan officers, title companies, attorneys, and investors to ensure accurate documentation and strict adherence to regulatory standards. In addition to file management, the Mortgage Loan Closer II performs full settlement agent duties: clearing title conditions, finalizing settlement figures, and executing loan disbursements, checks, and wire transfers.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and possesses a strong understanding of mortgage closing processes, title requirements, regulatory compliance, and settlement operations in a fast-paced environment.

Pay range for this hourly position is $26.02 - $30.42/hr with a progressive benefits package.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change.

- Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
- Ensures confidentiality of member information.
- Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Coordinates mortgage closings by working with borrowers, realtors, attorneys, title companies, settlement agents, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate closing transactions.
- Reviews loan files to verify completeness, data integrity, underwriting approval conditions, loan terms, fees, escrow details, insurance requirements, and property information prior to closing.
- Orders, reviews, and clears title commitments, searches, abstracts, liens, and other title-related issues to ensure marketable title before closing.
- Prepares, reviews, and issues closing documents, Closing Disclosures (CDs), escrow statements, settlement figures, and recording documents while ensuring regulatory compliance and accuracy.
- Ensures compliance with TRID, RESPA, investor, state, federal, and credit union requirements, including reviewing compliance reports and Uniform Closing Dataset (UCD) validations.
- Reconciles funding worksheets, settlement statements, and final closing balances to ensure accurate loan funding and zero-variance disbursements.
- Executes, verifies, and monitors wire transfers, loan proceeds, mortgage payoffs, seller proceeds, and third-party disbursements while following fraud prevention and wire verification protocols.
- Audits funding and executed closing packages to confirm document completeness, required signatures, proper recording information, and readiness for post-closing review and investor delivery.
- Maintains organized loan records within the Loan Origination System (LOS), assists with post closing exceptions and trailing documentation, and supports timely recording and investor delivery.
