Legal Assistant

Description

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our client in North Liberty, Iowa. This role involves supporting legal operations by managing client files, coordinating case activities, and handling administrative tasks with efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to handle clients with compassion while also being able to adhere to a process and deliver a results as a part of a motivated team!

Responsibilities:

- Conduct client intake processes and gather relevant case information.

- Manage client files using Clio software for efficient case tracking and documentation.

- Request and organize medical records to support legal cases.

- Oversee a caseload of 20-40 personal injury and car accident cases.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date calendars to schedule appointments and deadlines.

- Collaborate with attorneys to ensure timely case progression.

- Review and process incoming correspondence related to cases.

- Assist in preparing legal documents and reports as needed.

- Provide exceptional client service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.

Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a legal assistant or similar role.

- Proficiency in using Clio or similar legal case management software.

- Strong skills in client intake and information gathering.

- Familiarity with requesting and managing medical records.

- Exceptional organizational and calendar management abilities.

- Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
