Position: AP Accounting Specialist (Payroll/Accounting/HR)

Arkansas Talent Group is searching for a dynamic and experienced AP/Accounting Specialist with advanced skills in full-charge bookkeeping, payroll, and light human resources
. This role is essential to our growing company, which has doubled in the last few years! The successful candidate will be the right hand to the Controller and will handle a variety of tasks to ensure smooth daily operations. This is also a very exciting role due to the Accounting and HR projects that will add a ton of variety to the position!

Key Responsibilities
  • Full Charge Bookkeeping
    :
    Manage all aspects of general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end close processes.
  • Payroll Management
    :
    Oversee payroll processing for 30+ employees (use a third-party processor), ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Human Resources
    :
    Handle HR functions including employee onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Office Management
    :
    Perform administrative tasks, data entry, purchasing, billing, and setting up standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Accounting Projects
    :
    Assist with various accounting projects, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Daily Accounting Operations
    :
    Take charge of daily accounting tasks such as accounts payable/receivable, ensuring hands-on involvement in the two-person accounting/HR team.
Qualifications
  • Experience
    :
    Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role within a small to mid-sized business, preferably in the service or construction industry.
  • Skills
    :
    Proficiency with Excel (intermediate) and have varied CRM exposure.
  • Attributes
    :
    Detail-oriented, excellent communication skills, and a team player who enjoys a variety of tasks. Must be personable and able to foster a positive work environment. Must have a flexible, relationship/people-first demeanor.
