Certified Public Accountant

Job Overview

We are looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who holds an active license (preferably) in the state of Arkansas and has recent experience working for a CPA firm. The position requires the applicant to work onsite in our office and is not a remote role.

Bell & Company is a midsize CPA firm based in North Little Rock, AR, with additional offices in Conway and Harrison. With over 43 years of service, the firm is known for strong leadership and a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional client service.

We seek an individual who enjoys preparing tax returns, especially complex business returns, multi‑state clients, non‑profits, or trusts. The role requires a willingness to embrace challenges and collaborate across the firm.

We expect the following:

• Know how to prioritize work and complete it timely and accurately.
• Prepare business and individual tax returns; may perform some bookkeeping.
• Keep up with tax changes and industry standards through continuing education, professional associations, and periodicals.
• Communicate effectively both written and orally.
• Develop and maintain excellent client relationships as well as relationships with coworkers.
• Represent Bell & Company professionally at networking or other professional events.
• Assist in training other staff accountants as needed.

Required:

• Licensed CPA (preferred).
• At least 3 years of recent public‑accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, Ultra Tax, Practice CS, Engagement, Quick Books (desktop and online).
• Strong independent work ethic and ability to collaborate.
• Professional, positive, dependable demeanor.

Salary ranges from $60,000 to $90,000+ for Staff Accountants, with higher compensation for holders of an active CPA license. Benefits include paid holidays, paid time off (PTO), health/dental/vision insurance, and more.
