An on-site interview at our North Little Rock, AR, office location is a required step in the hiring process for all ATG opportunities.

Job Summary Certain of these qualifications and responsibilities apply most directly to a staff-level role, and certain to a senior-level role. Applicants’ eligibility between these role opportunities will be determined based on their experience and qualifications.

Under direct or limited supervision, the accountant position will perform a variety of routine technical accounting work, general ledger entries and reporting, maintaining and reconcile general ledger balances. These duties require a strong application of accounting principles, practices, and theory to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities Performs professional accounting work such as entering transactions, performing and reviewing reconciliations, trial balances, journal entries, variance analyses, preparing working papers, schedules and reports.

Examines a variety of accounting documents to verify accuracy of computations.

Ensure that transactions are in accordance with applicable authority, policies, procedures, and are recorded consistently and within accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Prepares accounting reports utilizing manual methods and/or computer software.

Coordinate with Director of Accounting and the rest of the accounting team in achieving fast and accurate month and year end close reporting, reconciliations, and procedures.

Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns, ensure compliance with state and local tax regulations, research taxability issues, and assist with audits and tax notices.

Assist in periodic audits

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or MBA is a plus, but not required.

Experience:

1+ years of accounting or finance experience, or equivalent internship, co-op, or relevant academic experience.

Experience with multi-state sales and use tax compliance

Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statements.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to clear documentation

Experience with Microsoft Business Central ERP system, Quick Books, and tax compliance tools is a plus.

Advanced Excel skills required, including the ability to manipulate large data files to perform various analysis using tools such as XLOOKUPs & Pivot Tables.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
