Job Duties

The University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is accepting applications for a Full-time Collision Repair Faculty position. The college provides access to high-quality education that promotes student learning and enables individuals to develop to their fullest potential.

Position Summary

Full-time faculty are professionals responsible for providing a quality learning experience for UA - Pulaski Technical College students. Faculty perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the college’s mission, policies and procedures. The successful hire will teach Intro to Collision Repair, Non-Structural Body Alignment and Repair I, Non-Structural Body Alignment and Repair II, Painting I, Painting II, and Damage Analysis and Estimation courses as assigned.

The Collision Repair department and this position are located at the South Campus, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

General Responsibilities

This position requires teaching at the undergraduate level. Hours may vary based on demand. Other responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance of office hours/establishing a campus presence in accordance with UA-PTC Campus Presence Policy 623.
  • Participating in orientations, professional development workshops, mandatory trainings, events, and meetings (e.g., commencement and convocation).
  • Establishing and maintaining positive, collaborative working relationships with students, colleagues and staff.
  • Using contemporary educational techniques and technology.
  • Maintaining skills or knowledge required for the collision repair industry.
  • Utilizing syllabus, Black Board, and class curriculum timelines to present information in a timely manner.
  • Providing prompt and accurate records of assessments and final grades.
  • Maintaining professionalism with students and collaborating with campus personnel to fulfill the College’s Mission.
  • Completing required reports, including outcomes assessment and program reviews, within prescribed time frames.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized instructional environment.
  • Incorporating feedback, technology, and updated instructional techniques to enhance program quality.
  • Organizing and hosting advisory committee meetings each semester to engage industry and support continuous improvement.
  • Supporting student participation in competitions such as Skills

    USA.
  • Other duties as assigned by the department director, school dean, or Provost.
