Project Manager - WaterNorth Little Rock, Arkansas
Garver is seeking a Project Manager in our Fayetteville, Rogers, Conway, Fort Smith or North Little Rock offices to join our Arkansas Water team. The Project Manager will manage projects consisting of design reports, studies, technical memoranda, detailed plans, and specifications. The role requires close collaboration with clients, internal and external stakeholders to exceed expectations. The Project Manager will also mentor internal staff, coordinate schedules, monitor budgets, and ensure delivery of quality products adhering to Garver standardization.
Role Overview- Water conveyance and distribution, including pump stations and storage facilities
- Wastewater conveyance and collection, including lift stations, gravity systems, and force mains
- Pipeline inspection and rehabilitation
- Water and Wastewater master planning
- Water and Wastewater treatment facilities
In addition to design, this role includes coordination with other support disciplines, regulation agencies, and quality assurance/control. Periodic travel is required for projects, conferences, marketing, and other duties.
Routine Functions- Technical competence with water or wastewater engineering and civil engineering
- Manage scope, budget and schedule for a team of project engineers, design engineers, and CAD technicians
- Manage project budgets and develop detailed instructions, scope of work, effort levels, and man‑hour estimates
- Ensure time management and work product quality
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project accounting
- Conduct written and oral project reporting for clients and team leader(s)
- Prepare and deliver QA/QC plans
- Conduct construction engineering administration for local projects
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, biological or similar engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Experience with Civil3D, ArcGIS
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Arkansas or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- 8 or more years of related experience in the water/wastewater utilities market
- Passionate about client service and the water industry
- Strong work ethic and communication skills
- Master’s degree in civil, environmental, biological or similar engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Experience with state or national conference technical presentations on water/wastewater treatment topics
