Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION 16-20 hours per week.

Under minimal supervision, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of the Center, including grounds. The Maintenance Technician will also communicate with the Center Director to facilitate repairs requiring outside contractors.

• Troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance services
• Maintains the Center in a manner that provides a safe environment for staff and visitors
• Maintains all facilities to a quality level to reduce disruption in day-to-day business, including but not limited to plumbing, painting, flooring, heating & air conditioning and lighting/electrical
• Maintains all property grounds including lawn care, signage, exterior lighting and parking lots
• Maintains safe & clean work environments by complying with company policies and procedures and those set forth by regulatory agencies
• Notifies Center Director of any deficiencies involving leased property such as heating and air, roof leaks, parking lots, or any condition capable of causing damage to property or people
• May assist with maintaining Center fire and security alarm systems
• May assist with cleaning checklists at the Center
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 1 year experience in general maintenance
• Clear Criminal Record Check, Arkansas Child & Adult Maltreatment Regulatory Checks, FBI Regulatory Check, including National Sex Offender Registry
• Pass a drug screen (upon hire, annually, and/or randomly)
• Valid Arkansas Driver's License
• Clear driving record

• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills related to security, safety & general maintenance
• Ability to exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance
• Ability to demonstrate organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Ability to carry out instructions
• Ability to stand and stoop for several hours a day and get up & down from the floor without assistance
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
