JOB DESCRIPTION:Job Description
Job Objective:To clearly understand and master how to set-up, start-up, run and tear down any profile tooling in a safe and productive manner.
Primary ResponsibilitiesTend to and operate extrusion machines in a work cell to produce required parts as determined by the production schedule.
Set-up and start-up any profile for all machines in a work cell.
Analyze SPC data to determine specs
Analyze production data and make necessary adjustments to operation of machines within the work cell.
Trouble-shoot standard problems against a defined process and refer complex problems to appropriate support function.
Train new Fibrex Extruder Operators.
Load fibrex and capping into hoppers.
Evaluate part conformance to appearance requirements and stack profiles on load
Tear down and clean up any profiles
Identify and communicate appropriately when electrical/mechanical/technical support is needed
Participate and sustain 6S activities.
Work in a safe manner and follow safety policies. Make sure co-workers are working safely and following safety policies.
Participate in & lead kaizen events and sustain improvements made from those events.
Lead work cell when needed
Perform maintenance tasks as necessary
Attend and participate in appropriate training and development programs
Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management.
Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills – keyboarding, Windows
Master all skills and knowledge while working as a Fibrex Extruder Operator
Equipment maintenance experience
Developing leadership skills
Ability to articulate problems and solutions verbally
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and process procedures
Ability and skills to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
$24.35 - $28.88

PROFIT SHARING:In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
