JOB DESCRIPTION

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Adhere to all safety policies and guidelines; is accountable for their personal safety and the safety of their co-workers.
  • Execute emergency procedures in response to chemical incidents, inclement weather, or other situations that threaten the safety of team members and the plant site.
  • Accurately record processing information in electronic devices and on paper documents.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
  • Work cohesively with team members across multiple departments.
  • Perform duties required to comply with SQF standards.
  • Complete initial and routine safety, processing, and compliance training.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Safely utilize and operate equipment to produce and package products including the following:
  • PPE
  • Weigh scales
  • Flow meters
  • Level, temperature, and pressure measuring devices
  • Centrifugal and air diaphragm pumps with associated hoses and dip pipes
  • Cam lock hoses and fittings
  • Manual and automatic valves
  • Sample valves/collection points
  • HMIs and PLCs
  • Desktop/Laptop computers
  • Prepare finished products for shipment with proper labels and batch documentation.
  • Troubleshoot software, instrumentation, solids-handling, blending, and hydraulic systems.
  • Participate in lock-out/tag-out and other safety procedures on equipment in preparation for maintenance and other activities.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
YOUR MUST HAVES:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (“GED”).
  • Comprehend documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of basic math- addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Execute written, oral or diagrammed instructions.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to comprehend and execute written procedures and policies.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to learn to safely drive a forklift in a production area
