The Milieu Coordinator will report to the ACNO and CNO. Must be thoroughly familiar with behavioral theory and concepts and be able to apply behavioral principles. This position will assist in interviewing applicants, as needed. This position will assist in completion of performance evaluation process on MHAs. In addition, this position will oversee/coordinate the specific unit that they are assigned and initially address any corrective actions needed in conjunction with the charge nurse and/or nursing supervisor.

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education preferred but not required. Experience in behavioral healthcare with adolescents preferred but not required. Must possess demonstrable leadership and supervisory skills. Current CPR and CPI certifications, or must obtain within two (2) weeks of date of hire (offered onsite). Documented experience working with children (ages 5-12), adolescents (ages 13-18), and/or adults (ages 18 plus) required.

- Knowledge of programmatic information for each unit
- Demonstrate leadership qualities
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and solutions
- Participates in providing a least-restrictive environment for patients while maintaining patient dignity within a safe milieu
- Coordinates daily activities of the units assigned
- Demonstrates effective empathy skills when interacting with patients, families, visitors, co-workers/peers and medical staff.
