Role Summary
The Neuro Health Sales Specialist role in Little Rock, Arkansas is part of a psychiatry-focused sales team responsible for driving the performance of a long-acting injectable therapy for schizophrenia and promoting Teva’s existing Psychiatry products in the Little Rock area. The role delivers results in a compliant and ethical manner, analyzes trends to inform customer interactions, and plans business activities with aligned objectives.
The Sales Specialist builds mutually beneficial networks with internal and external stakeholders and uses effective communication and presentation skills to move customers toward solutions.
- Achieve all sales performance goals and objectives for the geographic assignment
- Demonstrate a collaborative sales approach and coordinate efforts between sales leadership, other Teva sales teams, market access, sales operations, and training
- Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed territory-level sales goals; identify key opportunities across different settings of care
- Build rapport and relationships with employees and external contacts (i.e., HCPs and office staff) at all levels, understanding their needs and responding appropriately
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing of products to current and potential customers
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote products and provide product and patient education
- Maintain a call average as outlined in the sales plan, focusing on top target customers
- Apply traditional and non-traditional problem-solving techniques to improve performance and company effectiveness
- Adhere to Teva’s compliance policies and guidelines
- Territory includes markets south of Little Rock, encompassing the southern region of Arkansas and designated ZIP codes in Texas; territory boundaries are subject to change based on business need
- Pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; experience in psychiatric therapeutic areas strongly preferred
- Record of successfully achieving sales goals and building effective customer relationships
- Experience successfully launching products in the psychiatric space across multiple settings of care
- Minimum years of B2B pharmaceutical sales experience corresponding to role level:
Sales Specialist – 1 year;
Executive Sales Specialist – 7 years
- Ability to interact with customers in live and virtual environments and proficiency with technology
- Understanding of reimbursement coverage and pull-through strategies; experience in CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing; proven written and verbal communication skills
- Experience calling on community mental health centers (CMHC) is a plus
- Bachelor's degree required
- Travel as required, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel
- Valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must pass background, motor, and drug screening
- Physical demands: occasional lifting up to 20 pounds
