Role Summary
Area Rare Cardiac Specialist (ARCS) for Rare Disease, focusing on ATTR-CM disease awareness and patient initiation within the Memphis, TN region (territories include Mississippi, Memphis, and Little Rock). Partners with the Cardiac Account Specialist to ensure seamless customer interactions across the patient journey and accelerates new patient starts. Reports to the Area Business Manager and operates within a cross-functional field team to deliver compliant, scientifically accurate education and support to healthcare providers.
Travel within the region is required as part of the role.
- Account Planning &
Collaboration:
Prioritize opportunities, develop territory objectives and KPIs aligned to brand goals using data and stakeholder input; maintain active customer profiles and continuously refine call planning based on local factors. - Hybrid Execution / Advanced Selling:
Apply advanced selling skills, tailor messaging to customer needs, educate on ATTR-CM and diagnostic procedures, demonstrate brand value, and drive patient identification and treatment through approved programs; adapt messaging in dynamic markets. - Coordination:
Collaborate with CAS, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to elevate the customer experience and accelerate internal processes while ensuring compliance. - Demonstrates Business Acumen:
Gather customer insights, apply data to local planning, and prioritize resources to meet customer needs. - Professional Development:
Pursue learning opportunities, develop interpersonal skills, and stay coachable to elevate capabilities. - Culture & Values:
Coordinate with field and HQ teams to deliver resources, share insights, drive innovation, engage leadership, and uphold compliant use of promotional materials and selling activities.
- Required: Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience.
- Required: Bachelor's Degree required OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; OR a high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Required: Demonstrated ability to formulate, develop, write, communicate, and monitor the execution of Territory business plans.
- Required: Demonstrated history of strong teamwork and collaboration.
- Required: Strong analytical skills with a history of applying market/customer insights to inform sales planning; track record of assessing customer needs and bringing relevant tools/resources to drive performance.
- Required: Consistently follows and supports company policies.
- Required: Valid US driver's license and driving record in compliance with company standards; any DUI/DWI within the past 7 years will disqualify you.
- Preferred: Rare Disease and/or Specialty Cardiovascular experience strongly preferred.
- Preferred: Product launch experience.
- Preferred: Hospital sales experience.
- Preferred: Experience calling on large academic centers and hospital systems.
- Advanced selling skills and experience navigating complex selling environments.
- Relationship development with healthcare providers and decision-makers.
- Strategic territory planning and data-driven decision making.
- Cross-functional collaboration with CAS, SMEs, ROC, and other teams.
- In-depth knowledge of ATTR-CM disease area, diagnostics, and Vyndamax (as appropriate).
- Educational program delivery and customer education.
- Change agility to adapt to a dynamic marketplace.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's Degree required; OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
- 2–3 overnight stays per month may be required.
- Valid US driver's license and driving record in compliance with company standards.
