Overview

Courtesy Officer - Apartment Community (North Little Rock / Maumelle, AR) We are seeking a licensed Courtesy Officer to serve at our apartment community in the North Little Rock / Maumelle area. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our residents. If you are a service-oriented law enforcement professional who takes pride in community safety, we invite you to join our team and make a meaningful impact.

This role is ideal for an officer looking for an on-site position with housing included.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine security presence and monitor the community during overnight hours.
  • Conduct a minimum of two (2) full property patrols per night, walking the grounds and inspecting all common buildings and amenity areas, including:
    Clubhouse, Pool areas, Playground areas.
  • Patrol hours are 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM, seven (7) nights per week.
  • Monitor and identify suspicious activity and immediately report concerns to the appropriate local law enforcement agency and the Community Director.
  • Provide additional patrol coverage on holidays, including but not limited to:
    Fourth of July, New Year’s Eve, and other high-traffic or special-event days as requested.
  • Report any security concerns or maintenance issues, such as poor lighting, malfunctioning security lights, or unsafe conditions.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate law enforcement agency and inform them of your on-site presence.
  • Submit a weekly written activity report/log to the Community Director.
  • The Courtesy Officer will not engage in apprehension or citizen arrests unless required to protect individuals from immediate danger.
Qualifications
  • Must be a currently licensed law enforcement officer in the same city or municipality as the assigned property.
  • Police academy training or equivalent law enforcement training required.
  • Must be able to perform routine foot patrols and written reporting.
  • Must reside at the property - apartment home is included.
