About

the Job

As a Senior SDET on the PAM team, you will architect and build automation systems that validate complex, security‑sensitive access workflows across cloud infrastructure, identity providers, and enterprise environments. This role focuses on automation framework design, CI/CD integration, and system‑level quality, not manual testing or security engineering. You will partner closely with software engineers, product teams, and security stakeholders to ensure PAM features are reliable, scalable, and automation‑ready from the ground up.

Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for PAM workflows
  • Build reusable automation libraries for API, integration, and end‑to‑end testing
  • Develop automation for privileged access workflows including credential rotation, access provisioning, and session management
  • Automate authentication and identity flows such as OAuth, SAML, and SSO
  • Validate access workflows across protocols such as SSH, RDP, and similar mechanisms
  • Build and maintain automation for backend services, APIs, and cloud‑hosted systems
  • Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions or similar)
  • Manage containerized test environments using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Investigate automation failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and improve long‑term stability
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Security, and Product teams to embed testability into system design
  • Contribute to quality engineering standards and automation best practices across the organization
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in test automation, quality engineering, or software development in test
  • Proven experience designing and building automation frameworks or test systems
  • Hands‑on experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright or Pytest
  • Strong experience testing APIs, distributed systems, and security‑sensitive workflows
  • Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with containerized or cloud‑native environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS)
  • Understanding of authentication and identity concepts (OAuth, SAML, identity providers)
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system interactions and automation failures
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence quality practices across teams
  • Due to this role’s involvement working on FedRAMP compliance requirements, qualified candidates must be a “U.S. Person”
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience testing privileged access management or identity‑centric security products
  • Familiarity with cloud or security automation frameworks
  • Exposure to remote access protocols (SSH, RDP, VNC)
  • Experience contributing to automation metrics or observability systems
  • Medical, Dental & Vision (inclusive of domestic partnerships)
  • Employer Paid Life Insurance & Employee/Spouse/Child Supplemental life
  • Voluntary Short/Long Term Disability Insurance
  • 401 K (Roth/Traditional)
  • A generous PTO plan that celebrates your commitment and seniority (including paid Bereavement/Jury Duty, etc)

Keeper Security, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and participant in the U.S. Federal E‑Verify program. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
