The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for preparing, routing, and managing the movement of freight to ensure timely, cost effective, and efficient transportation options. This Role reports directly to the Logistics Manager.

• Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to meet customer business requirements.
• Plan Freight Movements efficiently while minimizing transportation costs.
• Monitor Shipments and proactively communicate delays and service disruptions.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for carriers and internal departments for transportation related needs.
• Analyze carrier performance metrics including service, cost and compliance.
• Assist with onboarding new carriers and brokers
• Assist in carrier rate negotiations and preparedness
• Assist with generating weekly KPI metrics
• Complete ad hoc reporting
• Assists Logistics Manager on annual forecasts and freight budget

Required – High School diploma

Preferred – bachelor’s degree in business or experience in logistics and shipping.

Required: 2+ years of transportation, logistics, dispatch or supply chain experience.

Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Excel
