Adjunct Biology Instructor
Job Description
South Central College is seeking adjunct Biology Instructors who are dedicated to excellence in teaching and wish to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. The position will be based on both the North Mankato and Faribault campuses.
The instructor is responsible for classroom and laboratory instruction of biology courses, maintaining a learning environment that meets postsecondary student requirements, and maintaining accurate academic records in a computerized learning management system, including attendance, grades, and course syllabi.
Adjunct faculty members will be compensated at the rate of $775.00 to $1,650.00 per semester credit.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree with a major in biology
- Master’s degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in biology
- Post‑secondary teaching experience
- Experience instructing a range of biology courses
- Experience instructing in multiple course delivery modalities
- Experience preparing and instructing laboratory courses
