Position
Taylor Corporation is looking for a Quality Inspector at its North Mankato, MN facility.
Work AuthorizationCandidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
ShiftSecond Shift;
Tuesday – Friday, 4:00pm – 2:00am with overtime on Saturdays as needed.
- Using your eye for detail to verify that final work product (statements and letters) meets production standards according to written instructions.
- Examining material by confirming required manufacturing or industry specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Returning products for re‑work if needed and completing documentation to confirm re‑work.
- Explaining to operators and supervisors how the product does not match the client’s instructions.
- Walking around to different machines to verify the accuracy of jobs.
- Cross‑training in different departments to further develop skills (postal, shipping, hand table).
- Reporting problems or concerns with quality results to senior management immediately.
- Ensuring that items that go out the door are 100% accurate.
- Inputting data into the production database.
- Learning about the production process and the role of QA.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Detail oriented.
- Basic measuring skills – able to read a ruler and other measurement devices.
- Basic problem‑solving skills.
- Basic computer skills (open, save, print a file, enter data).
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on production schedule.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position regularly.
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to printing inks, solvents, and chemicals; required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Ability to operate machinery and handle print products.
- Regularly move inside the facility and lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25+pounds.
- Prior experience within the print industry or fast‑paced high‑production environment.
- Three or more years of experience.
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $20–$23. The actual rate will depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
