Mechanic Technician
- Precision Press, Taylor Company, North Mankato, MN
This position will construct, perform preventative maintenance, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components in our production facility.
Shift2nd Shift;
Monday
- Friday in the afternoon (negotiable)
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities- Observe, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair printing equipment, press parts, electrical problems, and other equipment throughout the facility.
- Calculate and install main electrical to equipment and other power distribution.
- Set up and operate drills, lathes, grinders, welders, and other necessary tools and equipment to make and repair presses and component parts.
- Initiate purchase orders for items necessary to repair or replace component parts or other related equipment.
- Perform various preventive maintenance functions on equipment on a scheduled basis to maintain equipment and prevent breakdowns.
- Maintain attendance according to facility guidelines and work constructively with co‑workers, supervisors, vendors, etc. in performing daily responsibilities.
- Ability to read, interpret, and decipher general written instructions from documents such as work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, operating procedures, or other job‑specific written documents.
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively with fellow employees.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- 4+ years of experience.
- Previous industrial electric and machine maintenance experience.
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00, depending on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
