Join The Ariane Group Adventure

Ariane Group is the project manager for European launchers Ariane and the French oceanic deterrence force missiles. As such, Ariane Group ensures the conception, development, and operational readiness of the infrastructures enabling the implementation of these systems. To support the development of this activity, Ariane Group implements the Building Information Modeling (BIM) approach and is looking for a BIM modeler/coordinator.

You will be attached to a department of studies and developments of secure infrastructures (MSBS, Ariane 6 launcher, sensitive or complex industrial projects). You will report hierarchically to the head of the service, in liaison with the BIM manager.

Your missions

• Model 3D digital mockups on the REVIT software: networks, equipment, plumbing for air conditioning, ventilation, heating lots
• Produce plans and sections
• Work in support of project teams and in close contact with HVAC engineers
• Apply BIM modeling rules according to the BIM charter
• Verify the quality of received digital mockups
• Compile digital mockups into a global project mockup via Navisworks
• Elaborate interference reports (clashs) via the Navisworks software
• Occasionally perform 3D scans of existing works and assemble point clouds with SCENE, Real Works software

In a logic of continuous improvement, the BIM coordinator ensures the good application of charters, methods, and protocols on projects to be carried out according to a BIM approach. He ensures the continuous enrichment of the digital mockup. Guarantee of its quality, he thus contributes to the optimal execution of the works and the achievement of the company's objectives.

The BIM coordinator's missions are at the interface of the BIM Manager and the BIM modeler. He takes into account the expectations of the BIM Manager and reports to him. He keeps himself permanently informed of software and hardware developments, in a permanently evolving digital environment. Skilled in modeling techniques, he assists and informs the BIM modelers in their use of the company's BIM standards and in their production actions.

He accompanies them in the use of dedicated tools and in the development of their technicality.

Internally, under the responsibility of his superior, his interlocutors are sometimes the modelers. Externally, he is in contact with the BIM Manager and the general contractor, the possible BIM coordinators identified on the project among the company's subcontractors or other companies participating in the project, and more generally all the participants in the act of building.

Profile sought

• Education:
  
  You hold a Bac+2/3 in the field of climate engineering.
• Experience:
  
  You have 5 years of experience in a HVAC study office, in a BIM environment.

Skills sought

• Know the BIM processes, from the digital mockup and 3D synthesis
• Know the basics of architecture, civil engineering, construction
• Know how to make 3D scans and process point clouds
• Master the Autodesk AEC suite (Revit, Navisworks)
• Knowledge of the Climawin software

This position requires a defense clearance issued by the Ministry of the Armies.
