Are you passionate about science and wish to apply your laboratory skills to large-scale projects? As a Laboratory Technician on a Fixed-term Contract, you will actively participate in the development and production of space and military propulsion systems!

Your work environment

You will work within Ariane Group's laboratory service, where you will contribute to the performance of essential tests and analyses for the development of space and military propulsion systems. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality and performance of the materials used.

Your missions

  • Propose and validate technical solutions with requesters
  • Implement and manufacture chemical solutions
  • Develop the operating mode of these fabrications
  • Prepare samples and implement measurement and analysis equipment
  • Conduct mechanical, physical, and chemical tests on inert and pyrotechnic materials in accordance with established procedures
  • Operate installations to conduct tests
  • Interpret test results and write detailed technical reports
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Write and distribute test reports when requested
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of testing methods and quality processes
  • Contribute to the management of stocks of reagents and consumables
  • Respect and enforce the laboratory's safety rules, pyrotechnic culture, and environmental standards meticulously
  • Ensure the maintenance in condition of the premises and equipment used by the holder
  • Be an interface with production services, technical services, design office, and procurement
  • Ensure versatility between several types of tests

Profile sought

  • Education:

    Bac to Bac+2 in Physical Measurements, Materials Engineering, Chemistry
  • Experience:

    First experience (internship, apprenticeship, or position) in an industrial laboratory is required
  • Technical skills:
    • Knowledge of material testing techniques (tension, compression, hardness, metallography, etc.) and/or chemical analysis techniques (spectrometry, chromatography, etc.)
    • Proficiency in office computer tools (Word, Excel)
    • Knowledge of an ERP system (SAP would be a plus)
    • Good writing skills

With more than 350 years of history, the Saint-Médard-en-Jalles site can be considered one of the oldest industrial sites in France. Find nearly 650 employees in the middle of a 400-hectare forest and encounter rare fields of expertise in France.
