Custodian- Park​/Sports Complex; Part Time

Overview

Under general supervision, cleans and maintains the general appearance and cleanliness of City facilities and amenities. Performs a variety of custodial tasks and duties.

• Under limited supervision, dusting, sweeping, mopping, painting, replacing lights, vacuuming, polishing, and cleaning of offices, break rooms, showers, and public restrooms.
• Regularly emptying recycling and trash receptacles and blows debris from hard surfaces in parks and parking lots.
• Specific schedule will be assigned on a rotational basis and work hours will vary depending on special events.
• The majority of work will be assigned Monday-Sunday, 6:00am to 3:30pm. This is a year-round position.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• High school graduate with the ability to learn and utilize new skills in the area of Custodial work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be physically able to operate a vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, and a copier.
• Must be able to exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five pounds of force frequently, and/or up to ten pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of ten to fifty pounds.
