St. Brendan School Part Time St. Brendan School Are you called to teach students in a faith-filled, positive environment and community? Come and be Different by Design with us ndan School! We are seeking a PK-8th Grade Music Teacher, part time-2 days/week, to join our dynamic school team.
About Us:
Nestled in a safe North Olmsted neighborhood since 1964, St. Brendan School serves the spiritual, academic, and social needs of Pre-K to 8th-grade students. We are fully accredited and stand as the first school in the Diocese of Cleveland to blend a Classical Catholic Education with Ohio Learning Standards.
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
Prioritizes student safety, safe oversight, and highly organized classroom management
• Commands elementary music pedagogy, vocal techniques, and basic piano skills
• Integrates and maintains various instruments like recorders, bucket drums, and percussion
• Plans and directs the annual Advent Into Christmas Program and Spring Concert
• Incorporates music technology to deliver creative, engaging lessons
• Submits lesson plans and grades punctually while utilizing school management software
• Communicates and collaborates effectively with parents, colleagues, and administration
• Navigates a fast-paced environment with flexibility and a team-oriented mindset
• Embraces coaching, feedback, and professional development in Classical Catholic pedagogies
• Models virtues and morals supporting the mission of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Music Education/Music and elementary teaching experience
• Current Teaching license/certificate strongly preferred
• Experience running student concerts strongly preferred
• Pass a background check
• Practicing Catholic strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation range is $16,000 to depending-on-experience
• PD support, ongoing opportunities for continuing education
The candidate offered a contract must:
Submit 3 current letters of recommendation
• Obtain certifications that all full-time employees at schools in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland are required to have: VIRTUS certification;
Religious certification through Diocesan online courses (approximately 4 classes, 4 hours each, spread over 2 years)
