Overview

Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating needs and providing clear, accurate product information.
- Uphold merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment guidelines.
- Promote and lead company programs such as customer loyalty participation, warranty sales and private‑label credit card enrollment.
- Collaborate with the store and area managers to develop 30‑60‑90 day plans that support business priorities.
- Establish working plans for operational initiatives, staffing, hiring needs, merchandising sets and budgets, and adjust as needed based on plan effectiveness.
- Act as Head Coach for general store oversight—including opening/closing procedures, front‑end and cash office functions, and teammate supervision.
- Communicate departmental goals and plans weekly, assign workload based on skill levels to maximize efficiencies.
- Monitor progress against plans and make adjustments to ensure seamless operations and athlete support while meeting payroll and financial goals.
- Develop effective schedules for direct reports to meet athlete traffic demands and complete merchandising initiatives.
- Build and lead a strong, effective team to deliver positive athlete experiences.
- Lead sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding and retention of direct reports.
- Provide coaching, feedback, development, recognition and motivation throughout teammate lifecycle.
- Manage performance, conduct annual reviews and recommend promotions; make termination recommendations when necessary.
- Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and athletes feel welcome and respected.
- Enforce policies related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures, adhering to all applicable laws and guidelines.
- Hold teammates accountable for compliance, including addressing policy violations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1‑3 years of experience.
- Previous retail/customer‑facing experience required.
- Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Pay RangeTargeted pay range: $44,500.00 – $58,500.00, based on a 38‑hour work week, which may include incentive, equity and benefits components. Pay is determined by experience, location, internal pay equity and business considerations.
