Youth Support Specialist - Part Time

Pathway Caring for Children is looking for a Part-Time Youth Support Specialist to mentor and support children and teens in their homes and communities. Make your own schedule with as few or as many hours as you want!

This is a GET INVOLVED in the life of a child and teen kind of role. You may spend time talking with a teen, practicing real-life skills, getting out into the community, participating in recreational activities, or helping a young person work through a tough moment. Through consistent, supportive relationships, you'll help youth build confidence, strengthen coping skills, develop independence, and experience success.

What You'll DoMentor and build positive relationships with children and teens

Plan and participate in fun, skill-building and community activities

Help youth practice coping, social, emotional regulation, and independent living skills

Model healthy relationships, boundaries, and decision-making

Support individualized treatment and safety goals

Provide supervision and transportation when needed

Work alongside Pathway's clinical team to help youth build on their strengths

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma/GED.Experience working with children or adolescents with emotional or behavioral needs is preferred

Ability to engage youth in a variety of settings including home and community-based environments.

Willingness to provide behavioral support, activity planning, and parent/guardian communication.

A valid Ohio driver’s license, safe driving record, automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
