About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized Accounting Associate to join our team on-site in North Palm Beach, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to build their career in wealth management and learn directly from an experienced team. The Accounting Associate will play a key role in supporting the firm’s accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, and other areas.

- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals.
- Maintain supporting schedules and reconciliations.
- Perform variance analysis.
- Prepare recurring financial reports and analyses for management.
- Support the annual budgeting process through data gathering and analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of board packages.
- Research and resolve accounting issues while escalating complex matters as appropriate.
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable.
- Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and the accounts payable subledger to the general ledger.
- Maintain vendor files, including W-9 collection, and assist with annual 1099 preparation and filing.
- Respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoice and payment status.
- Review and process employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with policy.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and internal controls.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain the confidentiality of employee, client, and firm information.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all responsibilities.
- Drive office management, support special projects, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a staff accountant or similar accounting role.
- Experience with Net Suite or a comparable ERP system.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on strong Excel skills (formulas, xlookups, sumifs, keyboard shortcuts, pivot tables, filtering, etc.).
- Experience with full-cycle accounts payable.
- Experience with W-9 collection and annual 1099 reporting.
- Experience with and Expensify (or similar).
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor to interact with all levels of management and outside vendors.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- A willingness to learn new tools and technology.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Integrity and discretion in handling confidential a0nd sensitive information.
