Business Manager

Position is responsible for integrating new facilities within the Next Era Energy Resources portfolio and will operate under general supervision. Position with be primarily responsible for effectively collaborating across internal project teams and external stakeholders to successfully onboard and integrate new wind, solar and battery projects into the NEER portfolio. Position will review draft power purchase contract language and identify risks prior to execution, manage project integration planning with customers, service operators and internal stakeholders, support project financing due diligence, extract compliance obligations, analyze and communicate financial impacts to leadership, and coordinate internal and external project hand-off at commercial operations.

The ideal candidate shows initiative, can effectively communicate complex topics, and can prioritize effectively. Energy industry knowledge and project management experience preferred. Position is responsible for leading the overall management of a portfolio of generating assets in North America. Related responsibilities include performing robust analytics, profit and loss management, building customer relationships, ensuring compliance with power purchase agreements as well as financing and regulatory requirements, maintaining close working relationship with internal/external stakeholders and presenting ideas to leadership.

Key

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Completes financial, operational, or technical project analysis
• Leads value added projects, including report development, business case modeling, and asset optimization
• Cultivates innovation to optimize work processes through automation
• Ensures compliance with power purchase agreements, financings, regulatory, and other requirements
• Conducts analysis on operational drivers and emerging risks impacting the business and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
• Manages and improves the optimization of asset interaction with energy markets
• Builds and maintains close working relationships with both internal and external customers and stakeholders
• Builds routine and ad-hoc presentations to communicate key items to leadership
• Trains and mentors Business Management Analysts
