Construction Manager-Level 2 - Experienced (6 - 10 Years)
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors and vendors at the project site. This role is responsible for assessing productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance. The position acts as a critical bridge between field operations and leadership, ensuring construction crews and project stakeholders remain aligned while addressing logistical challenges and resolving conflicts.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors and/or vendors.
- Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance on the project.
- Manage walk downs of planned work and validate acceptance of completed work to design requirements.
- Approve contractor payment requests, verify constructability, and ensure proper resource allocations.
- Oversee scope control, budget oversight, performance reporting, and schedules.
- Provide leadership and coaching to Construction Supervisors and supplemental workforce.
- Lead commissioning projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
- Oversee system testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
- Survey and observe contractor Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) practices, providing coaching and direction as needed.
- Manage contractor performance and ensure adherence to project timelines.
Education:
An Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
6 - 10 years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.
Technical
Skills:
A strong understanding of engineering principles related to power plant commissioning. Proficiency with Microsoft Word is required.
Work Requirements
Driving will be required as part of the position duties. A valid, non-restricted driver's license is necessary. Per diem and mobilization/demobilization expenses are available for this role.
