Substation Construction Manager
We are looking for a Substation Construction Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) You will prioritize and enforce safety protocols on the job site, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. You would need to have a broad understanding of company policies and procedures. You will coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed effectively.
You will perform inspections, maintain QA/QC documents, and audits construction quality, ensuring adherence to standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Keeps detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections.
- Experience in leading and managing construction, including monitoring tasks, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts.
- Vast knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical, civil, and steel structural drawings
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and practices, including the ability to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, ensuring the project stays on track.
- Familiar with concrete work, flat foundations, drill piers, breaker pads, GSU containment pits.
- Work with EPC to resolve requests for information (RFI) and change orders.
- Perform material procurement and material take offs.
- Review project after completion and report successes, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement.
- Work safely near equipment energized at hazardous voltage levels.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
- Turnover and support Commissioning efforts through energization.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in supervisory/team leader role with demonstrated project leadership and management abilities.

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58.00/hr. to $63.00/hr.
