• Teach several music courses for middle school students including band, jazz band, guitar, and acting-musical theater.
• Assist with extracurricular activities such as serving as the musical director of a middle school drumline.
• Inspiring and motivating students to extend themselves to after school music clubs.
• Ensure proper care, maintenance, and responsible use of musical instruments, equipment, and technology.
• Build strong relationships through clear and consistent communication with families, students, and colleagues, including timely updates on student progress and effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication
• Participate in ongoing professional development to improve instructional practices and remain current with trends in the field.

• Bachelor’s degree in music or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of K-12 teaching experience required.
• Knowledge of musical techniques, history, and genres.
• Knowledge of varied teaching strategies to differentiate learning.
• Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Work Authorization required.
