Job Title:

Transmission Line Construction Manager

Job Description

The Transmission Line Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of the project from a field level. This role acts as the bridge between the field and the Project Manager, requiring a significant amount of time at the computer as well as active involvement in the field. The Construction Manager is the quarterback of the project, guiding it to successful completion.

Responsibilities

+ Familiarize yourself with contract documents and the contractor's safety plan to manage safety effectively.

+ Conduct kickoff meetings to communicate job expectations to contractors.

+ Lead site-specific orientation and ensure understanding of permits, road use agreements, crossing agreements, SWPPP, haul routes, drawings, materials, schedules, QA/QC, and engineering submittals.

+ Set expectations, lead, and train the team.

+ Ensure site safety orientation and adherence to the site-specific safety plan.

+ Complete safety assessments and contribute to safety improvements.

+ Collect and report accurate data for weekly reports and manage documentation.

+ Develop a constructive relationship with contractors and engage actively in the project.

+ Monitor safety standards and project quality, ensuring adherence to specifications and schedules.

+ Track project progress, approve the CSU, and maintain accurate project tracking spreadsheets.

+ Oversee environmental constraints during work activities.

+ Coordinate outage and crossing activities, ensuring collaboration between all parties.

+ Ensure reports are accurate, as they are shared with management up to the executive level.

+ Utilize additional resources such as environmental teams, material managers, and safety teams effectively.

Essential Skills

+ Construction management experience in transmission lines.

+ Strong understanding of contract documents and safety plans.

+ Effective communication and leadership skills.

+ Proficiency in project tracking and reporting.

+ Ability to work collaboratively with contractors and teams.

+ Knowledge of environmental constraints and safety protocols.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+

Experience with civil, structural, construction, and electrical disciplines.

+ Ability to manage relationships with land agents and utilize their expertise for planning and coordination.

The role requires collaboration with various teams, including environmental, safety, and material management teams. The job demands a commitment to safety and quality standards, with an emphasis on accurate reporting and documentation. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Juno Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
