Senior Engineer
This position is responsible for performing engineering assignments that range from limited scope to advanced projects requiring expertise across multiple disciplines. The role involves overseeing commercial metering systems for renewable development, design, and construction, ensuring all activities meet project requirements and align with commercial agreements. The work spans from concept development through construction and commissioning, with a focus on utility-scale solar, BESS, and power plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide engineering, design, and development support for energy infrastructure projects.
- Plan, organize, and manage engineering projects, balancing cost, reliability, and performance.
- Interpret and organize customer, commercial, and internal metering requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for the execution of commercial metering documents and implementation of metering requirements into engineering design.
- Track and report on project contractual execution and design progress.
- Support detailed technical assessments, engineering design reviews, and compliance verifications.
- Interface with engineering, development, business management, transmission services, and external stakeholders.
- Manage third-party engineering companies to ensure project success.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
Experience:
11 - 15 years of experience leading engineering teams and providing oversight for major energy infrastructure projects.
Technical
Skills:
Knowledge of Word is required.
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification.
- Experience with commercial and contract negotiation.
- Understanding of ISO requirements and complex metering systems/equipment.
- Proficiency with computational tools such as ETAP or EDISON.
- Knowledge of ASME standards, pipe stress analysis, pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.
- Experience with civil/structural design, including foundations, site grading, drainage systems, and seismic qualification.
