Engineer-Level 3 - Senior (11 - 15 Years)
This role is responsible for performing engineering assignments ranging from limited scope to advanced projects. The position involves increasing independence based on experience and includes assisting with project management, negotiations, and performance tracking. The focus is on utility-scale solar, BESS, and power plant operations, ensuring designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and reliability goals.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and manage engineering projects, balancing cost, reliability, and performance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and lead technical teams.
- Engage in decision-making, technical analysis, project coordination, and engineering oversight.
- Support detailed technical assessments, engineering design reviews, and compliance verifications for power delivery projects.
- Bridge the gap between conceptual engineering and field execution, applying best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise a team of engineers and oversee design development and permitting for energy infrastructure.
- Utilize strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills to ensure technical compliance and project success.
- Driving will be required as part of position duties.
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required. 11 - 15 years of experience leading engineering teams and providing oversight for major energy infrastructure projects. Expertise in one or more of the following specialized engineering functions is required:
- Electrical/I&C Engineering: Electric distribution systems, power systems, ladder logic, safe shutdown analysis, and computational tools (e.g., ETAP, EDISON).
- Mechanical Engineering: Pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pipe stress analysis, and ASME standards.
- Civil/Structural Engineering: Design and management of civil infrastructure, including foundations, site grading, drainage systems, seismic qualification, pipe supports, and welding.
- MOV Valve Engineering: Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and valve program management.
- A Professional Engineering (PE) certification is preferred.
